How to become a Christian

To become a Christian you must first recognise your need for God. If you do, then obey Jesus’ command to repent and believe. If you do this sincerely, God promises you salvation. You say, “that’s far too easy.” Exactly, it’s meant to be. For man it is impossible, but with God it is possible.

Gospel 101 by Paul Washer

Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (I Corinthians 15:1-4)

Too Heavenly Minded – No Earthly Good

I’ve been thinking. I am beginning to despise the expression ‘too heavenly/spiritually minded, no earthly good.’ Those that God has used the most in Church history were accused of being too heavenly/spiritually minded. But isn’t it amazing that God used these individuals for His greatest works? We need to tear down these speculations which have [...]

For Consider Him

Hebrews 12:3 tells us to consider Him. Consider Him for a moment before you rant on about your own selfish desires, needs, wants and ambitions. Consider Him, being in the form of God, was hung on a tree like a common criminal. I wrote this was poem several years ago and it still breaks my heart and humbles me. May the Lamb that was slain receive the rewards of His suffering.

How Do You Think Jesus Feels About Cosmetic Surgery?

How Do You Think Jesus Feels About Cosmetic Surgery?

I was recently asked this sincere question by a sincere friend. To be perfectly honest I kind of knew where my convictions lay almost immediately; but I wanted to take some time out to think it over Biblically and theologically – not to mention discuss it with my wife. Proverbs 18:13 says “If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.” So here’s my two pennies worth on what I believe Jesus feels about cosmetic surgery.

Is Jesus Qualified to Speak as God?

Who is qualified today to speak on behalf of God? Who is qualified to speak as God? The Gospels show us that Jesus alone stands head and shoulders above all who ever walked the earth. No one comes close to the words uttered from the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ. His statements are too lofty to be the words of a mere man. He spoke with great authority and great power. But let us take a closer look at what qualifies Jesus Christ to be the mouth piece of God Almighty.

Who, What, Where, Why, When?

It’s been a while since I last wrote a more general blog post. Whilst I’ve been busy writing and publishing theological sermons and teachings, I haven’t had a chance to freely blog.

Part 23 | The Only True God – What does God require of us?

I don’t want to be the type of Christian that just learns the correct doctrines and theological positions, I want to live them as well. I like the strap line the Grace Baptist Partnership uses “Preaching the Doctrines of Grace, living the Doctrine of Grace.” How can we live our doctrine? Read on.
