I Have Been Forgiven Much
Dearest in Christ,
You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sin. Selah (Psalm 85:2)
This morning God spoke to my inner man in a way like I have never heard before and it was such sweet refreshment. He flooded me with His presence during prayer time this morning and reminded me that ‘I have been forgiven much, I have been forgiven much’.
I am forgiven much debt. So much debt has been forgiven me, freely. Such was the debt that I could not pay it off with good works even in an eternity. God is austere but forgiving. He wipes away much sin because of His forgiveness. My heart couldn’t bear this much grace so early in the morning. He is an overwhelmingly beautiful God who forgives. What kind of forgiveness is this? What God is this who wipes away all debts incurred against Him freely because of His Son?
I sang all the way to work this morning, ‘I have been forgiven much.’ Christ has forgiven me much, praise God, hallelujah, amen to that. There is so much liberty and freedom in forgiveness.
I would be an evil fool to walk in un-forgiveness towards anyone.

What a great reminder, let this always be at the forefront of our mind.
Another thought came to mind when reading this post and especially the last sentence: “I would be an evil fool to walk in un-forgiveness towards anyone”
We can only truly forgive someone else when we realise how much we have been forgiven by God. So in other words if you have been forgiven by God of crimes that are worthy of an eternity in hell then forgiving others will be easy.
I too have been forgiven much.

I have been forgiven much. I was actully thinking about this while coming back in a bus. I looked back and realised that what a filthy, wicked and evil person I was and only and only by His grace I have been forgiven much.
This is really the greatest & the best mathematical equation I have ever seen: “1 cross + 3 nails equals 4 given.
