Bold Christians

Dearest in Christ,

We all know how difficult it is sometimes to tell the good news of Christ to the others.  I remember myself being shy, afraid, and ashamed of telling the good news of gospel to my friends, relatives and the rest. God has been speaking to me to become a “BOLD Christian” to testify the love of Jesus with no fear.

Let us go through the definition of this word called “BOLD”

“B” – Brave enough to talk about the gospel

“O” – Obey the word of God

“L” – Listen to what God has to say

“D” – Dead to sin

Well, let us go through this one by one in reverse order.

 1)      “D” – Dead to sin

We must know that God hates sin and the one can only glorify God when a person is living a sinless life. Fear God for it is the first step to know God’s will. Do not love the very things God hates. He wants you to be like Him because He is holy so one must ought to hate sin and it is written be angry at sin.

“Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord”-ACTS 6:11

The word of God tells us that when we were baptized, our past life and sins were buried and we were raised from the dead in the glory of the Father. We became new men in Christ and now we continue to seek His face and not letting sin takeover our lives.

2)     “L”- Listen to God

Once we are transformed; we are a new creation in Christ.  Now, we must come before God to pray and listen to Him. Once we listen to him; we will find out what God commands us to do.

“For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself for battle?” – 1 CORINTHIANS 14:8

It is clear  what God wants us to do; he wants us to be prepared to fight against enemy with God’s grace. Read the word, apply it in your lives, pray, fast and listen to what God has to say. He has got plans for everyone but it is the matter of listen to Him.

3)      “O” – Obey His Commands

We know that God commands us to be stand fast in His mighty name and to prepare ourselves for upcoming battles. So how do we prepare ourselves?

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be stand against the wiles of the devil” – EPHISIANS 6:12.

It is simple; by reading the scripture, obeying the word of God, walking with God all times and put on the Armor of God. He wants us to obey His commandments with all our hearts. If God tells you to do something which may sound stupid or foolish to others but you must conduct it without any doubt because it is God’s will and you will never know what God will do through you untill you actully do it.

4)     “B”-Be Brave

God wants us to be brave. Once we obey the commands of our Mighty God by preparing ourselves for the battle by wearing the armor of God, we will not be afraid anymore. We will be brave to go into the battlefield and fight against all odds. Do not fear men because God will always with you when preaching the word on street; BE BRAVE.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled, And realized that they had been with Jesus.” – ACTS 4:13

We shall go out and preach the word of God with such authority like Peter and John did. We shall no longer be afraid of all the obstacles which we will face when preaching to non-believers, but will be of good courage and minister to them with Boldness.
