The Creation of the Universe
I found this rather interesting article which discusses the issue of the creation of the universe and its Creator (God) by Bipin P.Varghese (Bangalore, India).
Introduction
The world is keenly observing the outcome of the largest experiment of the world known as the “Large Hadron Collider Experiment” which is going in the Swiss jointly executed by the Euro-scientists. The scientific world is optimistic that this will bring an answer to the questions related to the Big Bang theory of the origin of the world. However, the attempt here is to understand rationally and scientifically God’s eternal principles in the world. Humanity’s quest has no and end and thus there must be no end to explanation as well.
The Common Rationale
All the theistic and scientific explanation hitherto, claims that the universe had an origin somewhere in the past. ‘For every effect there is a cause’ and ‘for every cause there is an effect’. Anything and everything that exists had a cause. The universe and everything in the universe exists and hence it had a cause. ‘Nothing can cause itself’ but and external being which is the uncaused cause. As the universe can’t cause of the origin and existence of the universe is an external being is God.
Ex nihilio nihit fit; nothing comes from nothing. Something cannot originate from nothing and so everything that exists has originated from pre-existing something. Understanding the revealed nature of God and the Principles of Science, Philosophy and Logic, Creation Ex-nihilo, the age old belief; Creation out of nothing. The ‘Nothing’ could be a state of its absence in the pure material form (i.e. in the form of matter) but not the existence. The uncaused creator existed from the eternal past and everything that was created, was through him.
“In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth” (Genesis- 1:1)
The Intelligence Behind
It is very obvious that a massive Energy and an unsurpassable Intelligence must act behind the creation and ordering of the universe. The first law of Thermodynamics states, Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed; but it can only be changed from one form to another. This signifies that the entire energy in the universe since its origin in the infinity till infinity is and will be constant. And the universe existed even before the act of creation defining the immutability of the creator and infallibility of the natural principles that originated from the wisdom of God’s word.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God, All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:1-5)
The Transformation of the Word
In the biblical account, God said “Let there be” and it was. In each day of Creation, God said and it was done. The Lord’s word is massive energy capable of any sort of creation, destruction, order, reorder, formation, reformation, renovation; and all sorts of changes; mental, physical and emotional in the beings. The entire matter in the universe is the substance from the Word of God. The word transformed into physical matter, in the act of Creation, and the same Word Transformed into living matter (flesh) in the act of redemption.
As per the concept of mass-energy equivalent in the special theory of relativity; mass can be converted to energy and energy to mass. The creator is uncaused and as He exists from eternity to eternity the universe existed eternally. And as he existed eternally the act of creation would have been an act of transformation of energy. When God said “Let there Be” the enormous energy of His Word was converted into mass, following the principles and wisdom that existed eternally in Him. The physicists and astronomers attribute the origin of big bang that occurred billions of years ago; the bang is nothing but the transformation of the massive energy in the creators Word into matter when he said “Let there Be…….”
The intelligence of the creation is contained in all the matter originated from His word. The comparative errorless nature of all the creation, the order of the universe, the structural complexity and organization of the organ system and the organism’s body connotes the intelligence of the Supreme one. A trace of energy from Him that emerged out in the form of word got converted to matter, forming the massive and smaller bodies in the universe at the act of creation; making the omnipresence of the creator, apparently clear. The energy stored in the bodies due to the mass and inertia of God’s word set the bodies in motion and continues in the state. Every natural activity in the universe is so finely tuned at the origin that all the actions undergo uninterruptedly.
Though not mentioned in the narrator genesis account there might have had a moment in the eternity, where God said “Let there be Heavens and Earth” (as He did with all His creation except that of man), resulting in the beginning of the concept of “Time”. The matter created from the energy source of the supreme intellect, was arranged in such a way to be compatible to the further plans of the creator.
