Sermon Index Revival Conference

If you haven’t heard already, Sermon Index, the sermon audio website run by Greg Gordon, is hosting and organising two upcoming Revival Conferences in the Autumn of 2009 in the UK. Amongst those attending will be Paul Washer and K.P. Yohannan.

“There is such a need for the body of Christ to come together under truth to seek the face of the living God. There is no advertising or gimmicks for these events. It is all spread by word of mouth.”

I believe the Vision behind the revival conference is God honouring and Christ exalting. Here is an extract taken from the website.

There are over 10,000 conferences that happen every year. The ‘Revival Conference’ is not to be just another conference but a honest, sincere, earnest plea for the desperate need of revival. There is no cost to attend the event. No materials will be sold. There will be no big bands. The conference will have the chief object to be God-glorifying. The speakers will come on their own accord trusting God for provision. There will be no emphasis on money during the event. The event will be a simple, apostolic, yearning for a genuine biblical revival in our day. The conference is hosted by the ministry of SermonIndex.net and is a inter-denominational event.

About the Author: Vic Gill was born in Southall, London, in 1982 and grew up in the hindu religion. Although he responded to the gospel at the age of 13, it was not until the age of about 21, following some years of sinful and reckless living, that Vic came to the end of himself and experienced true repentance towards God and genuine saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. After being saved from his sin, God began giving him a desire to serve Him. Burdened for the youth and lost souls, he served in youth ministry and street evangelism in Southall. In 2004 he graduated from Brunel University with a degree in Business Management but had an eager desire to serve the Lord. Soon after, God opened a door for ministry internship at Pastor David Wilkerson's Church (Times Square Church) in New York City. After serving for a term, Vic came back to the UK with a greater desire and love for God's work. In 2007, he enrolled at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University to study theology and graduated soon after with a Diploma in Biblical and Theological Studies. He met his wife, Simi at Church and they have been married since July 2009. They opened up their home to lead weekly Bible studies which soon outgrew their small living room. They are now currently serving under the accountability and leadership of Pastor Barry King with the Grace Baptist Partnership leading a Church plant work in London, Uxbridge. Vic's greatest aspirations are to love his wife, faithfully expound God's Word to a dying world and to simply love Jesus and know Him more intimately. He enjoys studying the Puritans, Reformed Theology and Philosophy. Vic is also the founder of That I May Know Him web ministries which started in September 2008.
