A Personal Invitation
Want to hear the Gospel preached and see a believers baptism service? Well, you can do both this Sunday. We would like to invite you all to attend a special baptism service this Sunday morning at 11am in our parent church in Wood Green. 8 of us, including myself and my wife Simi will be obeying the call of Christ to believe and be baptised; and we would like for you to witness this. We have also been informed that there will be a clear Gospel message preached, so this presents you with the perfect opportunity to bring non-believers with you. If you’ve been praying for someone for a long time, now is the time to invite them.

When? 11am this Sunday (tomorrow). Where? Wood Green. Click here for map and directions. Please arrive for a sharp 11am start. You are advised to park in the Wood Green multi-story car park near the church.

Evangelism in Richings Park
I write with great rejoicing in my heart after hearing about yesterdays evangelistic outreach in the village of Richings Park. Here is a brief report to fill you in with what happened:

Yesterday (Friday 23rd July) a team of 14 or so brothers in the Lord prayerfully visited every home in Richings Park. But they didn’t just visit them and ask them how they were doing; it was quite a different visit. From 10am-4pm in teams of two, they knocked on every door with an Ultimate Questions booklet and a personal invitation card to attend the evangelistic meetings to begin this Sunday (25th July) at 7pm. I’ve been told there was a positive response and many welcomed them, gladly receiving the free book and invitation. Of course, as can be expected some rejected the offer and refused to come.

The team was composed of faculty and students from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas who have been participating the past three weeks in the Oxford Study Programme at Regents Park College of Oxford University.

Dr. Malcolm Yarnell commented on Facebook:

“My wife noted on the phone with me, today, “You have not sounded this happy during the whole journey.” She was right! Here, in the midst of bearing witness to Christ is found the meaning of all ministry. There is no greater joy than proclaiming the gospel to lost men, women & children. Hell shall not prevail against the church on the move assaulting its bastions with the gospel of the God-man who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead for our salvation!!!! I want to thank Barry King for the privilege of coming alongside him in his incredible enterprise of church planting.”

“It was a great joy to freely spread the good news of Jesus Christ and His saving work on the cross to the people of Richings Park. We trust the Lord to save many in this village for His great glory.” Pastor Barry King

“It was a good day. We had good responses to those we talked to.” Danny

“It was great to see Daniel, David, Malcolm and the rest of the brothers. We visited people door to door. It was great to see people responding to the message and some resisted. But overall it was great to be a part of it. And we want to do it again.” Sonny Simak

For the next 12 weeks we will patiently go through each question in the booklet, teaching and instructing from God’s Word. Please come to these meetings and invite others as well. Each person will also receive a free copy of the Ultimate Questions booklet.

When? Starting 7pm this Sunday (tomorrow) Where? St. Leonard’s Church, Richings Park. Click here for map.
