My hunger and thirst for Jesus is so tainted because of all the other things which take my attention and eyes of my Lord. He is beautiful in every sense and makes everything beautiful in creation and on earth look like acid eroded grease covered dirt. Dung as the Apostle Paul would label it.

Is out Christianity simply kept to our selfish little worlds which we make? Or does it permeate every part of our character that we cannot but help radiating and shining the very nature of our Master? When the world looks at you, what do they see? Do they see a mirror image of themselves? Do they see the world? Do they see a justification to sin? Or do they see Jesus Christ in you?
Hebrews 12:3 tells us to consider Him. Consider Him for a moment before you rant on about your own selfish desires, needs, wants and ambitions. Consider Him, who being in the form of God, was hung on a tree like a common criminal. I wrote this poem several years ago and it still breaks my heart and humbles me. May the Lamb that was slain receive the rewards of His suffering.
Whilst playing football today at the our annual football tournament, a few things dawned upon me.
This short devotional piece has been written with Jesus in heart and the hungry Christian in mind. It is definitely NOT a sermon or me preaching to you or at you, but instead something written principally for you to reflect upon in your walk and relationship with Jesus Christ. You could call it a challenge.
