Recommended Books
Studying God’s Word daily and systematically ought to be the highest priority in the life of a Christian. It is not sufficient to read articles, books and listen to sermons alone. The primary source from where the Christian draws on God’s truth and is fed spiritually comes from the Bible. Not only is it inerrant, but it is sufficient in every sense. This study cannot and must not be replaced. The moment the believer does this, they are walking on dangerous ground. If you are reading other books more than the Bible, then you ought to lay them down and be disciplined in your study of God’s Word first. There is no book or resource which is equal to the value of the Bible. God’s Word cannot be substituted for anything else, no matter how good it is.
However, God has also seen fit to use His servants to write books, from which the believer can also draw much truth, encouragement and wisdom. Below you will find a list of ‘Recommended Reading’ which That I May Know Him highly recommends in your walk with the Lord. These are books I have read or am at least aquainted with.

WOMANHOOD
Feminine Appeal by Caroline Mahaney
Girl Talk: Mother-Daughter Conversations on Biblical Womanhood by Caroline Mahaney

Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney is an excellent book, I agree with your recommendation of it for women. It really does describe true biblical feminity. Another good book for women will be Let Me Be A Woman by Elisabeth Eliott. You know in the Bible where it says in 1 Peter 3:5 about the holy women putting their hope in God and making themselves beautiiful with their gentle and submissive spirit’s? Elisabeth Eliott is one of those holy women of our day.
However a book any christian male or female, young and old serious in their pursuit of God should read is Holiness by J.C Ryle. I’ve just finished the second chapter but already my highlighter is running dry. Two words, Soul stirring!
